Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building and maintaining backend services that support developer infrastructure. Your expertise in Python and Java allows you to effectively migrate existing services while ensuring reliability and testability. You understand the importance of observability and migration readiness in backend systems, and you thrive in environments where you can empower client engineers to build, test, and ship confidently.

You possess a strong understanding of continuous integration (CI) processes and have experience with CI tooling and documentation. Your collaborative spirit enables you to work closely with client engineers, providing the necessary support and guidance to enhance their workflows. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions that align with Spotify’s automation strategies.

Desirable

Experience with monorepo architectures and familiarity with Spotify’s development practices would be a plus. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving infrastructure needs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for owning the client continuous integration infrastructure at Spotify. Your mission will be to ensure smooth, reliable, and fast integration of code changes across all client repositories. You will provide the tooling, documentation, and support that empower client engineers to build, test, and ship confidently. A key part of your role will involve migrating existing Python-based services to Java, ensuring better alignment with Spotify’s monorepo and future automation strategies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in the CI process, focusing on enhancing reliability and performance. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of client engineers, allowing them to integrate code changes seamlessly. You will also be involved in maintaining and optimizing backend services, ensuring they meet the demands of a growing user base.
