Who you are
You are currently enrolled as a 1st or 2nd year in an MBA program and have a strong interest in venture capital and growth investing. Your experience in researching and analyzing technology, ideally through prior internships, has equipped you with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. You are passionate about engaging with early-stage startups and have a keen understanding of market factors that influence investment decisions.
You possess a solid foundation in various technology themes, including AI/ML, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Cloud Infra/Networking, Application Software, Consumer Enablement, and Payments. Your ability to aggregate information from diverse sources will enable you to support the investment team effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to leverage cutting-edge resources to improve and scale the venture/growth business.
What you'll do
As an MBA Summer Associate at Squarepoint Ventures, your primary focus will be on conducting market research to develop investment theses that are crucial to the investment process. You will source new opportunities by leveraging these investment theses alongside Squarepoint's internal data and signals. Supporting the investment team in reviewing ongoing investment opportunities will be a key part of your role, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital space.
You will work closely with teams globally, enhancing your understanding of the venture and growth investing landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve aggregating information from various sources, including expert networks and broker research, to inform investment decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with innovative startups and contribute to the evaluation of Series A – Series D businesses across multiple sectors.
