You have over 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, showcasing strong analytical and organizational skills. Your background includes a solid understanding of software development life cycles and processes, which allows you to effectively manage vendor relationships and data ingestion projects. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to foster collaboration within teams and with stakeholders. Your experience with the Atlassian stack, particularly JIRA and Confluence, has equipped you with the tools to manage projects efficiently. Additionally, you have a working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, which enhances your ability to implement technical requirements.

You are adept at understanding and managing vendor datasets, ensuring data quality through lifecycle management. Your familiarity with data transfer protocols such as SFTP and HTTP, along with your knowledge of databases, positions you as a key player in the Data Engineering team. You thrive in collaborative environments, building strong relationships with global Data Engineering leads and business stakeholders to drive efficient workflows. You are proactive in scoping and validating new initiatives, ensuring they align with business priorities.

Desirable

Experience working with data vendors, trading exchanges, or similar environments is a plus. Familiarity with additional data transfer protocols and databases will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In your role as a Data Development Integrator, you will take ownership of vendor management for the Data Engineering team, engaging continuously with the Data Onboarding team and vendors to understand incoming data ingestion projects and planned vendor changes. You will drive the Data Engineering triage process, scoping and validating new initiatives while allocating them to the appropriate implementation teams. Your ability to foster collaboration within the Data Engineering team will be crucial as you build close relationships with global leads and their business stakeholders.

You will be responsible for increasing data quality through lifecycle management of vendor datasets, implementing technical requirements that can be delivered via configuration without code changes. For more complex changes, you will collaborate with data engineers to ensure successful implementation. Your role will involve continuous interaction with various stakeholders, ensuring that data quality and project timelines are met. You will also contribute to the overall strategy of the Data Engineering team, helping to shape processes and improve efficiencies.
