Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in a technology infrastructure role, particularly in Linux administration, where you've managed and optimized systems at scale. Your expertise includes working with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible, which you've used to enforce development standards and automate processes effectively.

You possess in-depth knowledge of distributed storage systems and performance optimization, allowing you to manage several petabyte-scale storage systems efficiently. Your experience with bare metal, hypervisors, and containers has equipped you with the skills to troubleshoot hardware and software issues throughout the stack.

You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, regularly re-prioritizing tasks while delivering both tactical and long-term objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively with business owners ensures that you can align technical solutions with business needs.

Desirable

Experience with public cloud platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with monitoring and alerting improvements. You thrive in environments that require continuous scaling and are eager to contribute to the growth of the company through innovative solutions.

What you'll do

As a Platform Compute and Storage Specialist, you will design, build, and maintain compute and storage services that support the company's growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include hardware and software installation and configuration, as well as monitoring and alerting improvements.

You will manage a distributed compute environment, ensuring that systems are standardized and automated for efficiency. Your role will involve enforcing development standards for source control, testing, and continuous integration for infrastructure, operating systems, patches, and configuration management.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, working closely with your team to ensure that systems run smoothly and efficiently.
