Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience in Windows Server administration, with a strong focus on automation and scripting. Your background may include endpoint engineering, and you possess advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting — enabling you to automate routine tasks and enhance system performance. You are skilled in managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, ensuring secure and efficient infrastructure delivery.

Your expertise extends to managing and optimizing VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and virtual networking/storage. You have experience supporting and enhancing VDI environments, particularly with Omnissa VDI (formerly VMware Horizon). You are also familiar with integrating and managing Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for hybrid identity and access management, which is crucial in a financial services environment.

You are comfortable administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune. Your ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration management sets you apart, as does your experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Collaboration is key in your role — you work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure that systems meet regulatory and internal standards. You document configurations, procedures, and system changes in accordance with ITIL practices, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and advancing Squarepoint Capital's enterprise-grade Windows Server and virtualization platforms. You will administer and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring they run smoothly and securely. Your responsibilities will include managing Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, which are essential for the organization's infrastructure.

You will optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, managing ESXi hosts, vCenter, and clusters to ensure high availability and performance. Supporting and enhancing Omnissa VDI environments will also be part of your duties, allowing you to leverage your expertise in virtualization technologies.

Integrating and managing Microsoft Entra ID for hybrid identity and access management will be a critical aspect of your role, as you ensure that user access is secure and compliant with industry standards. You will also administer Microsoft 365 services, providing support for Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune, which are vital for collaboration within the organization.

Your scripting skills will come into play as you develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating routine tasks and configuration management. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure provisioning and configuration processes.

Collaboration with security and compliance teams will be essential, as you work together to ensure that systems meet regulatory and internal standards. You will document configurations, procedures, and system changes in accordance with ITIL practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
