You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience building software solutions in mission-critical environments. Your expertise lies in developing high-performance, low-latency applications, particularly in the context of electronic trading. You are skilled in C++ and have a strong understanding of Python for scripting and automation, which you have used to tackle complex engineering challenges.

You thrive in high-performance environments and are passionate about delivering reliable and scalable solutions. Your experience includes working with trading teams and technology groups to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. You are familiar with exchange and broker connectivity protocols and financial data formats, which enhances your ability to contribute to market access technologies for various asset classes.

You are a proactive collaborator who enjoys mentoring team members and sharing knowledge to foster a culture of technical growth. You understand the importance of best practices throughout the software lifecycle and are committed to ensuring maintainability and operational excellence in all deliverables.

Desirable

Experience with low-latency, high-throughput trading systems is a plus, as is familiarity with market access technologies for equities and derivatives. Additional proficiency in other scripting or automation languages will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Market Access Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance applications for electronic trading. This includes developing order routing and market data processing solutions across various exchanges using specialized protocols. You will collaborate closely with trading teams and other technology groups to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Your role will involve hands-on development, where you will design, implement, test, and optimize sophisticated market access components such as Order Gateways and Market Data solutions. You will drive the development process, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance in all deliverables. Additionally, you will contribute to design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews, promoting best practices throughout the software lifecycle.

You will also integrate comprehensive testing and validation processes to maintain system robustness and uptime. Providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting production systems will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring service availability and reliability. As a mentor, you will actively participate in knowledge sharing and foster a culture of technical growth and collaboration within the team.
