Your experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, equips you with the skills to leverage cloud services for building and deploying applications. You are familiar with container orchestration using Kubernetes, enabling you to manage application deployment and scaling effectively. You have a solid understanding of messaging systems like Kafka, which is crucial for handling real-time data streams.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and product managers. Your strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail help you navigate complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions. You are passionate about optimizing user experiences through data-driven insights and innovative engineering practices.

Experience with ScyllaDB or similar NoSQL databases is a plus, as it enhances your ability to manage large datasets efficiently. What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the User Data team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of user profiles, from data ingestion to processing and storage. You will design and implement systems that handle millions of requests per second while maintaining a strict SLA of 100ms. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to provide different representations of user datasets to downstream services, ensuring that data is accessible and actionable.

You will work closely with data scientists to enhance the capabilities of the user segment builder and non-programmatic workflow engine. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and user engagement strategies. You will also participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall improvement of the engineering practices within the team.
