Who you are

You have a strong background in DevOps engineering, particularly with AWS, and are passionate about building scalable infrastructure. Your experience includes designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based systems, and you thrive in environments where you can automate processes and improve efficiency. You understand the importance of reliability and fault tolerance in system architecture, and you have a knack for creating CI/CD pipelines that streamline deployments. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable them to produce and consume events reliably.

You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly using AWS CDK, and you are comfortable working with various AWS services such as ECS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and are always looking for ways to enhance your skills and knowledge in the DevOps space.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure for a company-wide event streaming platform. You will extend the existing real-time event monitoring system into a scalable, self-service platform that empowers teams across the organization. Your responsibilities will include automating everything from CI/CD pipelines to infrastructure provisioning workflows, ensuring that the platform is highly available and fault-tolerant. You will collaborate closely with various teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary support to help them succeed in producing and consuming events.

You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of the infrastructure and making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and reliability. As part of your role, you will document processes and best practices to ensure that knowledge is shared across the team.
