Overview
Statsig is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance their security posture by building secure systems and implementing effective security measures. You'll leverage your engineering skills and security knowledge to improve software architecture and contribute to collaborative code reviews. This role requires strong expertise in security practices and programming languages.

You have a strong background in security engineering with a focus on building secure systems and implementing effective security measures. Your engineering skills are complemented by deep security knowledge, allowing you to expand and improve Statsigβs security posture effectively. You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#, and have experience working in Linux environments. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and best practices in code development.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to code reviews and maintaining a culture of quality within the engineering team. You take a generalist approach to building security controls, balancing a mix of security expertise and broad technical skillsets to adapt to evolving challenges. You are committed to writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code that enhances security operations.
Desirable
Experience with cloud security, particularly in AWS environments, is a plus. Familiarity with security frameworks and tools will further enhance your ability to contribute to the team. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, staying updated with the latest security trends and best practices.
What you'll do
In this role, you will implement, maintain, and improve software architecture to decrease Statsigβs risk of security incidents. You will deliver on key projects that enhance security operations by writing clean, high-quality code. Your responsibilities will include developing and supporting software applications, database integrations, and new functionality enhancements. You will also support the testing and deployment of new products and features, ensuring they meet security standards.
You will contribute to collaborative code reviews, maintaining high standards of quality and best practices. Your role will require you to take a generalist approach to building security controls, balancing a mix of security expertise and broad technical skillsets to adapt to evolving challenges. You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that security is integrated into the development process from the ground up.
