With over 5 years of experience in software engineering, you have a proven track record of leading technical strategy and architecture in complex projects. Your expertise in Python and cloud services, particularly AWS, allows you to design and implement robust backend systems that are scalable and secure. You possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

You have hands-on experience with advanced LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Amazon Bedrock, and you are familiar with best practices for prompt engineering and model evaluation. Your ability to integrate AI into production workflows demonstrates your deep understanding of AI system reliability and performance. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with product, architecture, design, and engineering leaders to shape the integration of AI across the product ecosystem.

Desirable

Experience with fine-tuning LLMs and developing cloud-native systems is a plus. Familiarity with FastAPI and Flask frameworks will enhance your ability to build robust backend services and APIs. You are also open to exploring new technologies and methodologies that can improve AI capabilities within the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and drive the technical vision for AI-powered features and platform components. You will architect scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems and pipelines, ensuring that they meet the demands of our AI initiatives. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, designing, and implementing solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic, and Bedrock foundation models. You will establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, data flows, and AI system reliability, ensuring that our AI products are of the highest quality.

You will also engage in hands-on software development, building robust backend services and APIs using Python, including frameworks like FastAPI and Flask. Your role will involve integrating LLMs into production workflows, which includes fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), orchestration, agent frameworks, and embeddings. You will develop cloud-native systems using AWS services such as EKS, ensuring that our infrastructure is optimized for performance and reliability.

Collaboration will be key in this position, as you will partner closely with product, architecture, design, and engineering leaders to shape how AI is integrated across our product ecosystem. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will be essential in influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across departments.
