Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting, ideally with a CPA or similar qualification, and possess an aptitude for data analysis. Your experience includes working in the payments or tech industry, where you've developed a keen understanding of financial implications and accounting standards, particularly US GAAP. You are proficient in SQL and have a solid grasp of relational database structures, enabling you to self-service information effectively. Additionally, you have experience with data insights and visualization tools such as Tableau and Alteryx, which you use to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive informed strategic decisions.
What you'll do
As a member of the Product Accounting team at Stripe, you will play a crucial role in supporting the processing and reporting of financial results related to transaction losses. You will partner closely with risk management, data science, and finance teams to understand Stripe's credit and fraud risk, advising on the accounting implications of these risks. Your responsibilities will include planning projects, producing results, and establishing best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
