You have a strong background in backend engineering, particularly in building scalable financial systems. Your experience includes working with large-scale financial tracking systems, and you possess a good understanding of cloud-based services such as gRPC, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in extending Stripe's Global Payouts and Treasury Network, ensuring that businesses of all sizes in the APAC region can effectively manage their money through Stripe. You will collaborate closely with teams from Infrastructure to Product, working on projects that involve payouts, foreign exchange, issuing, and yield management. Your contributions will directly impact how users interact with Stripe's financial services, making it easier for them to run their operations.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services that are robust and scalable, ensuring they meet the needs of a diverse user base. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold high standards of quality. You will also engage in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, ensuring they perform efficiently under varying loads.

As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. You will also be involved in defining best practices for API design and system architecture, contributing to the overall technical direction of the team.
