Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within the fintech sector or at a hyperscaler cloud infrastructure provider. Your background includes managing technical software products from inception to scale, and you possess a strong understanding of complex billing systems and multi-product platforms. You are adept at collaborating with engineering teams to harmonize disparate systems and eliminate integration friction, ensuring that internal product teams can ship faster and more efficiently.
You are a strategic thinker who can architect solutions that enhance fee transparency and reconciliation tools for merchants. Your experience allows you to navigate the complexities of financial data warehouses and internal billing systems, making you a key player in driving Stripe's revenue engine. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your technical knowledge to improve product offerings and user experiences.
Desirable
While not required, experience with designing and building multi-product platforms or complex billing systems will set you apart. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is highly preferred, as is a passion for creating seamless user experiences in financial services.
What you'll do
As the Product Manager for Commerce Systems, you will lead the charge in building unified control planes that integrate Stripe's internal billing and seller systems. Your role will involve collaborating closely with a team of engineers to create a single, high-leverage interaction surface that simplifies processes for internal product teams. You will be responsible for eliminating integration friction, allowing teams to ship faster and ensuring that merchants receive world-class tools for fee transparency and reconciliation.
You will engage in stakeholder management, conducting user research to understand the needs of both internal teams and external merchants. Your responsibilities will include defining metrics for success, prioritizing features based on user feedback, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals. You will also be involved in A/B testing and competitive analysis to refine product offerings and drive growth.
