Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in platform engineering, particularly with Kubernetes, and are comfortable working with cloud infrastructure. Your experience includes designing and implementing systems that manage compute workloads across multiple regions, ensuring high availability and low latency. You are proficient in Go and have experience maintaining Kubernetes operators, particularly for distributed systems like Postgres. You understand the importance of automation and resource optimization in cloud environments, and you are eager to contribute to a team that values robust and scalable solutions.

What you'll do

As a Platform Engineer at Supabase, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Supabase Cloud offering. You will design and implement systems to provision, scale, and manage multi-region compute workloads that power Supabase projects in Kubernetes. Your role will involve maintaining our Go-based Kubernetes operator that orchestrates distributed Postgres deployments, ensuring data reliability and connectivity through CSI drivers and persistent volumes. You will own the full lifecycle of compute orchestration, including project creation, warm pools, autoscaling, smart region selection, and resource optimization. Your work will directly impact the experience of our users, enabling them to manage their databases effectively and efficiently.
