You have extensive experience in sourcing and supply chain management, particularly in the produce and perishables categories. Your leadership skills shine as you directly manage and inspire a high-performing team of sourcing professionals, setting clear priorities and fostering a collaborative culture. You understand the importance of leveraging supplier partnerships to drive results in safety, service, cost, quality, and growth, fully aligned with company values.
You are adept at strategic category leadership, serving as the business owner for produce and perishables. You lead the complete sourcing lifecycle, ensuring food safety, continuity, total cost ownership, and quality. Your analytical skills allow you to apply sourcing processes effectively, driving innovation and excellence in category planning and execution.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead Sweetgreen's strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing sourcing strategies for produce and perishables across national and regional supply chains. You will manage a team of sourcing/category managers and specialists, guiding their professional development and fostering a mission-driven team culture. Your responsibilities include cultivating strong supplier partnerships and leveraging their capabilities to enhance Sweetgreen's competitive advantage.
You will oversee the complete sourcing lifecycle, ensuring that all sourcing activities align with the company's values and food ethos. Your role will involve applying Sweetgreen's Six Steps of Sourcing process, which includes analysis, strategy development, and execution. You will work closely with the broader Supply Chain team to enable excellence across category planning and process optimization.
