Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a strong focus on test automation — you've built and maintained test frameworks that ensure high-quality software delivery. Your expertise in Java and Selenium allows you to create effective test suites that cover various scenarios and edge cases.

You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of quality in software development — you have a proven track record of identifying and resolving issues before they reach production. Your experience with CI/CD pipelines means you can integrate testing seamlessly into the development process.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with developers and product teams — your strong communication skills help you articulate testing needs and advocate for quality across the organization. You are comfortable working in a remote-first team and can manage your time effectively.

Desirable

Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies would be a plus — you understand how to ensure applications perform well under load. Familiarity with mobile application testing is also beneficial, as you will be working on Tala's mobile platforms.

What you'll do

As a Senior SDET at Tala, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test strategies for our backend services and mobile applications — your work will directly impact the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.

You will create and maintain test automation frameworks that are scalable and efficient — your focus will be on enhancing the speed and reliability of our testing processes. You will also mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.

Your role will involve analyzing test results and providing actionable insights to the development team — you will help identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively to implement solutions. You will also participate in code reviews, ensuring that testing considerations are integrated into the development lifecycle.
