You have 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, demonstrating a strong understanding of system architecture and design principles. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to write efficient and reliable code for embedded systems, and you are well-versed in Embedded Linux environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions. Your ability to lead technical discussions and guide team members fosters a productive work environment, and you are passionate about mentoring others in the field.
Desirable
Experience with satellite communications or related industries is a plus, as is familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices. You are comfortable engaging with vendors and partners, building strong relationships that contribute to project success. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail enable you to tackle complex challenges effectively.
What you'll do
As a Senior Embedded Software Developer at Telesat, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the software architecture for our innovative satellite communications solutions. You will collaborate with System Engineering and other teams to align software projects with organizational objectives, ensuring that all components work together seamlessly. Your leadership within the Scrum Team will guide technical decisions and promote best practices in software development.
You will lead technical discussions with vendors and partners, providing insights and direction to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and testing embedded software solutions, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems. You will also participate in code reviews, sharing your expertise to help elevate the team's overall skill set.
