Who you are
You have a strong background in developer advocacy, with a focus on improving the developer experience and building vibrant open-source communities. Your experience spans over 5 years in the tech industry, where you've engaged with developers and gathered feedback to influence product development. You are comfortable producing high-quality technical content and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Your expertise includes self-service developer platforms, particularly those built on Kubernetes. You understand the intricacies of distributed systems and can discuss concepts like Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and GitOps fluently. You are genuinely curious about the developer community and are driven to create tools and resources that empower developers.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive engagement and growth. Your values align with those of Temporal, as you are curious, driven, collaborative, genuine, and humble. You believe in challenging standard thinking and are eager to influence the future of developer tools.
Desirable
Experience with open-source software development and community engagement is a plus. What you'll do
As the Staff Developer Advocate, you will be the voice of the developer community within Temporal. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with developers, gather feedback, and produce high-quality technical content that resonates with the community. You will work closely with the Platform Engineering team to ensure that the tools and resources provided meet the needs of developers.
You will drive developer engagement initiatives, including webinars, workshops, and community events, to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among users. Your role will involve creating documentation, tutorials, and other educational materials that help developers understand and utilize Temporal's offerings effectively.
You will also gather insights from the community to inform product development, ensuring that the needs and challenges faced by developers are addressed in future releases. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly will be crucial in bridging the gap between developers and the engineering team.
