Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within finance, consulting, or technology — you've developed a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices. You hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, which has equipped you with the necessary knowledge to excel in this role. Your experience with NetSuite demonstrates your ability to navigate accounting software effectively, and your advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, allow you to perform complex data analysis and reporting with ease.
You are detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining accuracy in financial records — you understand the importance of precision in accounting and are committed to driving continuous improvement in accounting processes. Your analytical mindset enables you to review and analyze general ledger transactions and accounts thoroughly, ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and timely. You will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling bank statements, which is crucial for the integrity of financial reporting. As part of the month-end close process, you will prepare financial statement analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations, providing valuable insights to management.
You will review and analyze general ledger transactions and accounts, preparing supporting documentation for financial statement audits and tax provisions. Assisting your manager with the preparation of workpapers for tax filings will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will implement and maintain appropriate systems and internal controls, which are essential for safeguarding the company's assets.
Additionally, you will conduct ad-hoc analysis to support leadership requests, providing data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions. Your role will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement in accounting processes, helping to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance team.
