Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud security, with experience in developing and executing workflows for information security. You are skilled in triaging alerts generated by Cloud Security Posture Management tools and have a solid understanding of threat modeling for cloud services. Your expertise in scripting allows you to achieve a high level of automation in security processes, and you are familiar with deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform.

You are proactive in evaluating security tools and fostering valuable vendor relationships, ensuring that the security measures in place are effective and up-to-date. You understand the importance of protecting sensitive information, including intellectual property and protected health information, and you handle such data in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

What you'll do

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Tempus, you will play a critical role in securing the company's cloud environments. You will be responsible for developing and executing workflows that illustrate how cutting-edge technologies can enhance Tempus' cloud security posture. Your main duties will include triaging alerts generated by Cloud Security Posture Management tools and conducting threat modeling of cloud services to identify potential vulnerabilities.

You will create scripts to automate security processes and deploy infrastructure as code in cloud environments using Terraform. Additionally, you will conduct proof of concepts (POCs) to evaluate new security tools and work closely with vendors to ensure that the security solutions implemented are effective and aligned with the company's goals.

Your role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that security practices are integrated into the development of SaaS products. You will help set security goals and design and deploy products, controls, and workflows that protect Tempus while maintaining the speed of business operations.
