Who you are
You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. Your expertise in data warehousing solutions is complemented by your comfort with technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and Snowflake. You are proficient in ELT processes and tools like dbt, and you have experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink. Writing SQL queries is second nature to you, and you are familiar with programming languages like Python. You understand real-time analytics and can work seamlessly with data streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis. Data security is second nature to you, and you are well-versed in best practices around encryption and secure data transfer. You are highly analytical and enjoy collaborating closely with data scientists to make data actionable.
What you'll do
In your role as a Senior Data Engineer at Texture, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and optimizing our data pipelines to support various data workflows. You will work with both structured and unstructured data, ensuring high data quality and availability for complex analysis by data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the data architecture supports the organization's goals and objectives. Your contributions will directly impact how energy data is accessed and leveraged, enabling organizations to make smarter decisions that benefit both their operations and the environment. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help shape the data department as one of our pioneer hires.
