Who you are

You have extensive experience in operations management, particularly within the financial services sector, and a strong understanding of trading and investment processes. Your background includes overseeing complex operational workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. You are adept at developing robust processes for managing client funds, reconciliations, and corporate actions, and you possess a keen eye for detail that ensures accuracy and compliance in all operational activities.

You bring a deep understanding of leveraged and derivative trading instruments, such as CFDs, and can apply this knowledge to shape compliant and scalable operations frameworks. Your ability to navigate regulatory requirements, particularly those set by ASIC, positions you as a key player in aligning operational processes with best practices and compliance standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the challenge of optimizing operations to support business growth.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as the most senior operations lead in our trading business, overseeing the operational readiness and execution across all post-trade and client money workflows. You will develop, maintain, and enhance robust end-to-end operations processes for complex financial products, ensuring that all workflows are efficient and compliant with regulatory guidelines. Your strategic input will be crucial in designing policies and procedures that support regulatory compliance and best practice standards.

You will collaborate closely with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams to align operational processes with ASIC requirements, particularly in line with RG212, RG166, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Your leadership will extend to overseeing operational due diligence and risk readiness reviews for new product offerings, focusing on complex or leveraged instruments. You will also be responsible for implementing systems, controls, and reporting tools, working closely with Engineering and offshore operations to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
