Overview
TripActions is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for their Internal Audit team to transform auditing processes into a proactive, data-driven function. You'll leverage SQL and Python to build automated audit tests and visualizations using Snowflake and ThoughtSpot. This role requires experience in data analytics and risk monitoring.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data analytics, particularly in internal audit or risk management β you've successfully transformed traditional auditing processes into data-driven functions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to design and develop complex queries and scripts that support operational audit activities. You are familiar with data visualization tools like ThoughtSpot, enabling you to create dynamic visualizations that provide real-time insights into key risk indicators.
You possess a strong understanding of data mining techniques and have experience working with large datasets β you can identify outliers, patterns, and trends that inform risk assessments. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SOX and ITGC teams, ensures that you can automate control testing effectively. You are a champion of a data-first mindset, always looking for ways to challenge the status quo and improve internal control environments.
Desirable
Experience with continuous auditing techniques and anomaly detection models is a plus β you understand the importance of moving away from point-in-time testing to achieve 100% population testing on key controls. Familiarity with risk scoring mechanisms and automated audit tests will set you apart in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing SQL queries and Python scripts that support operational audit activities. You will build automated audit tests and anomaly detection models to replace manual sampling, ensuring a more efficient auditing process. Your work will involve developing techniques for continuous auditing, allowing the team to monitor risks proactively rather than reactively.
You will create dynamic visualizations that provide management with real-time insights into key risk indicators and emerging risk trends. By partnering with the SOX team, you will automate ITGC and Business Process control testing, aiming for comprehensive testing of key controls. Your goal is to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of the internal control environment through innovative data solutions.
What we offer
TripActions offers a competitive salary range of $93,750β$174,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact the company's risk management strategies. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement β we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team. Join us in transforming the auditing landscape with data-driven insights.
