Overview
TripActions is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for their Internal Audit team to transform auditing into a proactive, data-driven function. You'll leverage SQL and Python to build automated audit tests and visualizations using Snowflake and ThoughtSpot. This role requires experience in data analytics and risk monitoring.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in data analytics, particularly in the context of internal auditing — your experience includes designing and developing SQL queries and Python scripts to support operational audit activities. You are adept at building automated audit tests and anomaly detection models, moving away from traditional manual sampling methods.
Your expertise in data visualization tools like ThoughtSpot allows you to create dynamic visualizations that provide real-time insights into Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and emerging risk trends. You understand the importance of a data-first mindset and are committed to enhancing the effectiveness and scalability of internal controls.
You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with large datasets — your analytical skills enable you to identify outliers, patterns, and trends that inform risk assessments. You have experience partnering with teams to automate control testing processes, aiming for comprehensive population testing rather than random sampling.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the transformation of the internal audit function into a proactive, data-driven risk monitoring team. You will design and develop SQL queries and Python scripts to automate audit activities, including building models for continuous auditing and risk scoring mechanisms. Your work will help the team move away from point-in-time testing, allowing for more effective monitoring of risks.
You will collaborate closely with the SOX team to automate ITGC and Business Process control testing, ensuring that key controls are tested comprehensively. Your goal is to achieve 100% population testing on critical controls, enhancing the reliability of the audit process.
Additionally, you will create dynamic visualizations that provide management with real-time insights into KRIs and emerging risk trends. Your ability to communicate complex data insights will be crucial in helping stakeholders understand risk profiles and make informed decisions.
What we offer
TripActions offers a competitive salary range of $93,750—$174,000 USD, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact the effectiveness of our internal audit processes. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team.
