Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in engineering management, leading teams to build scalable platforms and products. Your background includes a strong focus on AI and machine learning, and you have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and researchers, to drive innovation and meet business objectives. Your technical expertise spans multiple programming languages, including Python and Java, and you are comfortable working with cloud technologies such as AWS. You understand the importance of building diverse and inclusive teams and are committed to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale AI systems and familiarity with generative AI technologies would be a significant advantage. You are also encouraged to apply if you have experience in leading teams that work on complex data generation systems or reinforcement learning environments. A background in software development, particularly in languages like C++ and SQL, will help you succeed in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the engineering team responsible for developing Turing's GenAI training platform. You will oversee the design and implementation of large-scale reinforcement learning environments and data generation systems that train large language models. Your leadership will ensure that the platform is highly available, secure, and capable of rapid deployment. You will work closely with product and data science teams to define the technical roadmap and prioritize features that align with business goals. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their careers while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

You will engage in hands-on technical work, contributing to the architecture and design of the platform while ensuring best practices in software development are followed. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to align on project goals and timelines, and you will be instrumental in driving the technical vision of the organization. You will also play a key role in recruiting top talent to join your team, ensuring that Turing continues to build a diverse and skilled workforce.
