Who you are

You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and possess extensive experience in designing electrical harnesses for aerospace applications. Your expertise in AutoCAD and Eagle allows you to create detailed harness layouts and assembly drawings that meet stringent aerospace standards. You are a subject matter expert in wire harnessing and have a strong understanding of the integration of electrical systems within spacecraft.

You have a proven track record of managing vendors for aerospace electrical components, including connectors and wires, ensuring that all components meet quality and compliance standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and manufacturing groups, ensures that projects are successful and manufacturable. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering high-quality designs that contribute to the success of multiple spacecraft projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Wire Harness Designer at Turion Space, you will own the design and documentation of electrical harnesses from concept through launch. You will create and maintain harnessing documentation, including detailed drawings and wire diagrams, while writing harness instructions based on technician feedback. Your role will involve selecting and managing vendors for aerospace electrical components, ensuring that all materials meet the required specifications.

You will define test acceptance procedures and lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for harness routing within complex assemblies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with space constraints and environmental requirements during the integration of space vehicles in a clean room environment. You will maintain effective communication with all functional groups to ensure project success and manufacturability, collaborating closely with mechanical, manufacturing, software, test, and supply chain teams.
