Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in application security, demonstrating a strong understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability management. Your expertise includes familiarity with OWASP top ten vulnerabilities and experience using tools like Burp Suite for security assessments. You are a proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring security is integrated into the development lifecycle. You have a passion for staying updated on the latest security trends and threats, and you are committed to fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization. You understand the importance of balancing security with usability, and you can articulate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are comfortable leading initiatives and providing thought leadership in application security, helping to shape the security strategy of the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead application security initiatives across various teams, working closely with engineering and InfoSec to implement secure coding practices. You will conduct security assessments and code reviews, identifying vulnerabilities and providing actionable recommendations to developers. You will develop and deliver security training for engineering teams, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices. You will collaborate with product teams to ensure security is integrated into the product development lifecycle from the outset. You will stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, adapting the security program as necessary to address new challenges. You will contribute to the development of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and remediate security incidents as they arise. You will work on enhancing the visibility of security metrics and reporting to stakeholders, demonstrating the effectiveness of the application security program.
