Overview

Uber is hiring an Operational Risk and Compliance Manager to assess and manage operational risks within the Fintech team. You'll work to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize processes for Uber Money in Mexico City.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in operational risk management and compliance, ideally within the fintech sector. Your experience includes assessing and managing operational risks, and you are familiar with regulatory requirements in the financial industry. You possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement. You are proactive and resourceful, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion. Your communication skills enable you to convey complex risk profiles to senior management effectively. You thrive in high-growth environments and are eager to contribute to the expansion of innovative services.

What you'll do

In this role, you will leverage the Operational Risk Management Framework to identify, measure, monitor, manage, report, and govern operational risks. You will analyze current processes to provide independent assessments of operational risks and controls, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with regulatory requirements. You will define key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate them in collaboration with the first line of defense, following up on mitigation plans and understanding third-party risks. Additionally, you will work closely with the testing team to assess the effectiveness of controls in mitigating heightened operational risks. Your ownership of Uber Money's growth in Latin America will require you to be proactive in enhancing the quality of services offered.
