Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or you bring 3 years of full-time experience in software engineering. You are a strong full-stack web engineer with a passion for building high-quality products that enhance user experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product teams and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions. You possess a solid understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, from design to deployment, and are committed to maintaining high-availability services.

You have experience in providing technical leadership and influencing your peers, demonstrating solid engineering practices. You are comfortable participating in on-call rotations and are dedicated to driving continuous improvements in system availability, scalability, performance, and efficiency. You understand the importance of collaboration across teams, including infrastructure and product management, to implement best practices and high-impact features.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work through the entire software engineering lifecycle, partnering with product teams to define requirements and create new or evolve existing systems. You will design, implement, test, launch, and maintain world-class high-availability and high-traffic services. Your responsibilities will include joining on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and driving improvements in performance and efficiency.

You will provide technical leadership and influence fellow engineers, serving as a role model for solid engineering practices. Collaboration will be key as you work with other infrastructure teams and product managers to drive the adoption of best practices and design high-impact, cross-product features. You will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the Grocery team by building tools that enhance the shopper experience and streamline fulfillment processes.
