Overview
Uber is hiring a Staff Security Engineer to lead the architecture of their next-generation cloud security infrastructure. You'll work with GCP and AI technologies to build a proactive security ecosystem. This role requires expertise in cloud security and AI orchestration.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in security engineering, particularly in cloud environments, and a strong understanding of cloud security posture management. Your expertise in AI orchestration and multi-agent systems allows you to design innovative security solutions that are both effective and scalable. You are a strategic thinker who can define long-term roadmaps for identity-centric security and automated posture management, ensuring that security measures are proactive rather than reactive.
You possess a deep understanding of cloud platforms, especially GCP and OCI, and are skilled in implementing frameworks that enhance security across multi-cloud environments. Your technical leadership experience enables you to mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within your team. You are passionate about building secure systems that support business initiatives while ensuring compliance and security by design.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the lead architect for Uber's cloud security infrastructure, transforming traditional security measures into a dynamic, autonomous ecosystem. You will spearhead the use of generative AI and AI agent orchestration to automate complex security reasoning, enabling intelligent agents to analyze, prioritize, and remediate risks at scale. Your responsibilities will include defining the long-term roadmap for identity-centric security and implementing multi-agent systems to automate the security remediation lifecycle.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to eliminate security hotspots and enforce secure-by-default baselines across all cloud platforms. Your role will also involve scaling control measures and implementing frameworks like "LLM-as-a-Judge" to ensure the safety and precision of autonomous security actions. As a technical leader, you will mentor engineers and bridge the gap between security practices and Uber's cultural identity, ensuring that security is integrated into every aspect of the business.
What we offer
Uber provides a collaborative work environment where innovation is encouraged. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of a secure cloud infrastructure that supports Uber's global operations. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Join us in our mission to create a safer digital environment for our users and partners.
