Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on iOS development. Your proficiency in platform-specific architecture patterns and frameworks, particularly Swift and UIKit, allows you to create seamless user experiences. You understand user experience and performance optimization on mobile platforms, and you have a self-starter mindset with a bias for shipping impactful features. Your experience includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to broader technical strategies, fostering a culture of metrics-driven engineering.
Desirable
You have a proven track record of shipping complex mobile features in production and are familiar with metrics platforms such as Experimentation and Analytics SDKs. Your prior involvement in developing new product paradigms or zero-to-one launches showcases your innovative mindset and ability to drive product outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and development of end-to-end autonomous vehicle rider experiences, including booking flows and on-trip interactions. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, and backend leads to own product outcomes and ensure a cohesive user journey. Your responsibilities will include driving rigorous experimentation and data-driven iteration across experience surfaces, ensuring that the features you develop meet user needs and enhance the overall experience. You will also mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
What we offer
Uber offers a competitive base salary range of USD$202,000 to USD$224,000 per year, along with eligibility for bonuses. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and creativity, working in an environment that encourages you to bring your ideas to life. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, you will be expected to spend at least half of your work time in the Seattle office, fostering a strong team culture and collaboration.
