What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement backend infrastructure components that support Uber's growing workloads, including deployment engines and autoscalers. You will lead cross-team projects focused on safe deployment and rollback automation, enhancing resilience and developer efficiency across stateless, stateful, and batch workloads.

You will be responsible for improving infrastructure security and compliance, implementing measures such as encryption-at-rest and ransomware mitigation. Your contributions will drive modernization efforts within the team, including Kubernetes migration and the development of unified workload platforms.

You will optimize Uber's infrastructure efficiency by focusing on ARM adoption and autoscaling enhancements, ensuring that compute resources are allocated cost-effectively. Additionally, you will proactively mentor other engineers, helping to define the technical direction for infrastructure components through cutting-edge technologies and scalable engineering practices.
