You have 5+ years of experience in application security, with a strong understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability assessments. Your background includes working closely with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that security is a priority from the outset. You are familiar with industry standards and frameworks, particularly OWASP, and have hands-on experience with security tools like Burp Suite. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy fostering a culture of security awareness among your peers.

Experience with cloud security and familiarity with DevSecOps practices would be a plus. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on security best practices. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting security reviews of Udemy's applications to identify vulnerabilities and risks. You will work closely with product development and engineering teams to promote secure coding practices and enhance the overall security posture of the organization. Your responsibilities will include performing code scans, managing security assessments, and providing guidance on remediation strategies. You will also lead initiatives to foster a community of security champions within the company, encouraging developers to prioritize security in their work.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trust and Safety and Data Science, to develop world-class security solutions that align with Udemy's mission of transforming lives through learning.
