You are a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer with a strong background in managing large-scale distributed systems. Your experience includes operating with a high degree of autonomy, where you've taken on leadership roles during critical incidents, ensuring stability and reliability in production environments. You thrive in high-pressure situations and have a proven track record of improving service availability while reducing operational toil.

You possess deep technical expertise in SRE practices and are well-versed in cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Your familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes enables you to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions. You have a solid understanding of Linux systems and are skilled in monitoring and incident management, ensuring that systems perform optimally under real-world conditions.

Your collaborative nature allows you to partner effectively with platform, infrastructure, and application teams globally. You are committed to maintaining high SRE standards and fostering a culture of reliability within your team. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you a valuable asset in cross-functional discussions.

Desirable

Experience with automation tools and practices is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response frameworks. You may also have knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning, which further enhances your ability to manage and scale systems effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take operational leadership to restore the stability of UiPath’s large-scale distributed services. You will act as the Japan regional owner for SRE standards, ensuring that best practices are implemented and followed across teams. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to improve service availability and reliability, as well as reducing operational toil through automation and process improvements.

You will lead incident response efforts, acting as an Incident Commander during critical situations. This involves coordinating with multiple teams to diagnose issues, implement fixes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Your role will also require you to analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that our systems can scale reliably under real-world load and failure conditions.

Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. You will contribute to the development of SRE practices and tools that enhance the overall reliability of our services. Your insights will help shape the future of our infrastructure and operational processes.
