Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, specifically in risk and fraud analysis — you've developed a keen eye for identifying patterns in transaction data and customer behavior that indicate fraudulent activity. Your expertise in SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring that your insights are data-driven and actionable. You are familiar with risk management principles and have a solid understanding of fraud detection strategies, which you have successfully implemented in previous roles. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicating effectively with clients and banking partners to align on fraud prevention strategies. You are proactive and take initiative, driving projects from ideation to completion while continuously seeking to optimize processes through automation.
Desirable
Experience with machine learning techniques for fraud detection would be a significant advantage — you understand how to leverage advanced analytics to enhance fraud prevention measures. Familiarity with automation tools and techniques is also beneficial, as you will be designing and implementing solutions to streamline fraud monitoring processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will analyze transaction data and customer behavior to identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity — your insights will directly contribute to the development and deployment of data-driven fraud prevention rules and models. You will continuously monitor and refine existing fraud detection strategies based on emerging trends and feedback, ensuring that Unit remains at the forefront of fraud mitigation. You will design and implement automation solutions to enhance fraud monitoring processes, supporting the scalability of our platform. Additionally, you will communicate with clients and partner banks to align on fraud prevention strategies, sharing actionable insights that help safeguard their operations.
