Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect seemingly unrelated data points into coherent fraud hypotheses. Your expertise in SQL and Snowflake allows you to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets effectively. You possess exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and investigative intuition, which are essential for identifying and disrupting fraud patterns. Your strong communication skills enable you to translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights, making you a valuable asset to the team.
You have experience in the travel, fintech, or e-commerce industries, which gives you a unique perspective on the types of fraud that can occur in these sectors. You are a data-driven problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection frameworks and strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will leverage your advanced SQL and Snowflake expertise to analyze complex datasets and detect unusual patterns indicative of potential fraud activity. You will conduct cluster and network analysis to identify organized fraud rings and high-risk behaviors across Navanβs platforms. Leading end-to-end investigations of sophisticated fraud cases will be a key responsibility, requiring collaboration with Fraud Operations, Product, and Security teams.
You will translate your analytical findings into actionable strategies to mitigate losses and strengthen fraud detection frameworks. Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and fraud indicators that surface emerging risks in near real-time will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will partner with engineers and data scientists to enhance existing rules, models, and anomaly detection systems, ensuring that the organization remains ahead of emerging fraud threats.
Presenting your findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner will be crucial for driving strategic decisions. You will continuously improve investigative processes and methodologies, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the fraud risk management team.
What we offer
At TripActions, you will be part of a best-in-class fraud risk management team that is dedicated to supporting our rapidly growing travel and expense management businesses. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
