Upvest is hiring a Senior PR Manager to lead their public relations strategy across Europe, focusing on Germany. You'll build relationships with top journalists and drive media engagement. This role requires 5+ years of PR experience, ideally in fintech.

Who you are
You have over 5 years of PR experience, ideally within the fintech sector, and possess a deep understanding of media relations. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with tier-1 journalists across business, fintech, and financial services media is a key strength. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all communications align with Upvest's strategic goals.
Your experience includes leading press office activities, handling inbound requests, and proactively pitching stories to the media. You are skilled in driving press announcements, exclusives, and media commentary, ensuring that Upvest's narrative is effectively communicated to the public. You understand the importance of thought leadership and are capable of shaping and executing opportunities that align with the company's leadership.
You are a strategic thinker who leverages events, awards, and industry moments to enhance media relationships and visibility. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to prepare and support senior spokespeople for interviews and media appearances effectively. You are passionate about storytelling and can articulate Upvest's mission and vision clearly to various audiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and execute Upvest's PR strategy across Europe, with a particular focus on Germany. You will build, maintain, and deepen direct relationships with tier-1 journalists, ensuring that Upvest's story is told effectively in the media. You will lead all press office activities, including managing inbound media requests and proactively pitching stories that highlight Upvest's innovations and partnerships.
You will drive press announcements and exclusives, managing the process from start to finish. This includes preparing and briefing senior spokespeople for interviews, panels, and media appearances, ensuring they are well-equipped to represent Upvest. You will also shape and execute thought leadership opportunities, working closely with Upvest's leadership team to align on key messages and strategic initiatives.
Your role will involve strategically leveraging events, awards, and industry moments to strengthen media relationships and enhance Upvest's narrative visibility. You will be responsible for monitoring media coverage and analyzing the effectiveness of PR campaigns, using insights to refine strategies and improve future communications.
