You understand the importance of infrastructure in supporting product engineering and have a knack for optimizing performance and developer productivity. Your background may include working with distributed systems and security enhancements, although prior security experience is not mandatory. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment where kindness and talent thrive.

You possess deep expertise in modern frameworks and tooling, including TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Your experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, allows you to leverage tools like Fargate and ECS effectively. You are comfortable using version control systems such as Git and GitHub Actions to streamline development processes. You are eager to learn and adapt, especially at the intersection of infrastructure and security.

Desirable

While not required, familiarity with security compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 would be beneficial. You are open to exploring new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the security and reliability of systems.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta, you will play a crucial role in the Infrastructure & Security team, focusing on building and maintaining the platform that supports Vanta's core systems. Your work will directly impact the scalability and performance of the infrastructure as the customer base grows rapidly. You will collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure that the infrastructure enables engineers to ship reliable software quickly and safely.

You will design and develop new product functionality and infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the needs of a growing user base. Your responsibilities will include working on distributed systems, optimizing infrastructure primitives, and implementing security enhancements. You will also be involved in diagnosing bugs and building features that deliver value to customers.
