Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly with experience in Lua and web technologies. You understand the importance of building scalable and reliable systems, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with other engineers and product teams. You are passionate about improving developer experiences and have a keen eye for identifying and solving complex problems in production environments.
You are comfortable diving into production issues and have a proactive approach to optimizing performance. Your experience includes working with cloud infrastructure and you are familiar with concepts such as caching, routing, and traffic delivery. You are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and strives to make the web faster and more reliable.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Vercel, you will be a key member of the CDN Infrastructure team, responsible for scaling and improving the services that power Vercel's CDN. You will create new primitives to expand the product feature set and optimize the CDN experience to enhance reliability and reduce latency. Your role will involve analyzing web latency to identify sources of tail latency and implementing solutions that delight developers using Vercel's platform.
You will collaborate with backend engineers and product teams to identify problems and build effective solutions. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of Vercel's services, ensuring that developers have the best tools at their disposal to build on the AI-native web. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the design of systems and write code that enhances the overall functionality of Vercel's offerings.
