Who you are

You are a CPA with a strong background in public accounting and technical accounting expertise. You have experience supporting organizations through growth phases, ideally in both private and public company environments. You possess excellent leadership skills, enabling you to supervise a general accounting team effectively.

You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. Your experience includes managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. You are familiar with GAAP financial statements and have a solid understanding of revenue operations.

What you'll do

In your role as Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the accuracy of Verily’s financial records. You will supervise the general accounting team and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable processes for revenue operations and other finance functions.

You will assist in the implementation of a formal controls framework to ensure SOX compliance. This will involve overseeing various aspects of financial operations and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting. Your role will be crucial in supporting the financial health of the organization as it continues to grow.
