Who you are

You have a strong background in data science, with experience in developing and deploying models that leverage real-world data sources. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, and you are comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve health outcomes. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for data quality assessments, ensuring that the information you work with is accurate and reliable.

You understand the importance of evidence generation in healthcare and are passionate about using data to inform research and care decisions. Your ability to create derived features from source data, such as abstraction of clinical concepts, showcases your technical skills and your commitment to enhancing data usability. You are also familiar with electronic health records (EHRs) and claims data, which are crucial for building longitudinal datasets.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data integration techniques. You may have worked on projects that required multi-source integrations and reconciliations, which would further enhance your ability to contribute to our team. A background in healthcare or a related field would be beneficial, as it would provide context for the data you will be working with.

What you'll do

As a Data Scientist at Verily, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to transform healthcare through data-driven insights.
