Who you are
You are a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in product design, particularly in enterprise hardware. You have experience generating mechanical solutions for various product requirements, including audio, cameras, and environmental resistance. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with electrical engineering teams to integrate electro-mechanical elements into your designs. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for bringing innovative products to market.
You possess proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, enabling you to create precise mechanical designs. You understand the importance of thermals, tamper resistance, and sealing in product design, ensuring that your solutions meet high standards of quality and functionality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.
Desirable
Experience with mass production processes and a solid understanding of manufacturing techniques would be beneficial. Familiarity with PCB integration and sensor technology is a plus, as is a background in designing products that require environmental resistance.
What you'll do
As a Product Design Mechanical Engineer at Verkada, you will take ownership of the mechanical design process from concept through to mass production. You will generate innovative mechanical solutions that address a wide variety of product requirements relevant to enterprise hardware. Your role will involve driving new products from initial proof of concept to full-scale production, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and quality standards.
You will collaborate closely with our Electrical Engineering team to integrate PCBAs, sensors, and other electro-mechanical elements into your designs. This collaboration is crucial for creating cohesive and functional products that meet the needs of our customers. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough testing and validation of your designs to ensure they perform reliably in real-world conditions.
