You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure development, with experience in designing and maintaining scalable systems. You are proficient in AWS and have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Your programming skills in Python enable you to automate and manage cloud services effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide robust solutions.
You are detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high reliability and performance of cloud services. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps you collaborate effectively with other engineering teams. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in cloud technologies and infrastructure management.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer on the Platform Infrastructure team, you will design, develop, test, and deploy software to manage and automate Verkada's cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with other engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide robust solutions tailored to their requirements. Your contributions will include enhancing the architecture and design of new and existing cloud services, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.
You will implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability and performance of the services. You will take full ownership of a sub-domain, leading cross-team efforts to improve the overall infrastructure. Your role will also involve scaling microservice clusters and automating serverless deployments, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Verkada's integrated security platform.
