Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your background includes working with cloud technologies and you have a strong understanding of system architecture and design principles. You are comfortable leading cross-team initiatives and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of best practices in engineering.

You possess deep expertise in AWS and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. You have experience with service meshes and are familiar with the challenges of managing large-scale distributed systems. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will identify and lead critical efforts related to scalability, reliability, and efficiency of Verkada's platform infrastructure. You will influence the direction of the platform by proposing and implementing your own ideas. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support to your team members and aligning with product and organizational goals to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, such as designing cost-efficient services for ingesting and storing terabytes of video footage. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of the infrastructure that supports millions of connected devices.
