You have 2-5 years of experience working in a trading support role or in a comparable position at a trading firm or financial institution. You are detail-oriented and eager to learn, with a strong understanding of risk management and trading strategies. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are capable of working towards collective goals with your team. Your ability to communicate effectively with operations, compliance, brokers, and custodians is essential in mitigating risk and generating revenue for the firm.
You possess a keen interest in algorithmic trading and have experience in designing, operating, and improving high-performance trading strategies. You are comfortable working closely with software engineers to enhance trading strategies and are excited about the opportunity to expand the firm's product offerings across various asset classes.
What you'll do
As a Quantitative Trader at Virtu Financial, you will support the Fixed Income Trading desk by managing risk and implementing trading strategies. You will work closely with operations and compliance teams to ensure that all trading activities align with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your role will involve primary market trading, where you will execute trades and manage positions effectively.
You will also collaborate with brokers and custodians to facilitate smooth trading operations and enhance liquidity in the markets.
