Point72 is hiring a Fixed Income Trader to execute trades on a discretionary macro portfolio management team focused on mortgage-backed securities. You'll build tools for analysis and liaise with broker dealers to ensure best execution. This role requires a strong interest in fixed income trading.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong interest in fixed income trading and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are tenacious, detail-oriented, organized, and proactive about identifying potential operational risks. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, and you have exposure to SQL or Python, which is a plus.
What you'll do
As a Fixed Income Trader at Point72, you will execute trades on behalf of the portfolio manager across mortgage-backed securities (MBS) products and hedges. You will build and enhance tools for the analysis of MBS and MBS option trading, ensuring that you are equipped to make informed trading decisions. Your role will involve liaising and building relationships with approved broker-dealer counterparts, focusing on achieving the best execution and maintaining liquidity in the market. There is potential for you to grow into an associate portfolio manager or systematic quant role, providing opportunities for career advancement within the firm.
