Who you are

You have a strong background in environmental health and safety, with hands-on experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Your expertise includes conducting safety inspections and audits, as well as fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization. You are skilled in developing and delivering training programs that cover essential topics such as Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, and Personal Protective Equipment. Your ability to conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments allows you to effectively mitigate workplace risks, particularly in precision manufacturing and laboratory environments.

You are detail-oriented and organized, capable of maintaining training records and safety documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Your strong communication skills enable you to partner effectively with various departments, including Facilities, Operations, HR, and Quality, to integrate EHS into daily business processes. You are proactive in tracking corrective actions and ensuring timely reporting to management and relevant authorities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will assist in ensuring that site operations comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant environmental laws. You will conduct regular safety inspections and facility audits, identifying potential hazards and tracking corrective actions through closure. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering mandatory EHS training programs for new hires and current employees, ensuring they are well-versed in safety protocols and procedures.

You will coordinate all aspects of incident investigations, gathering data, conducting root cause analyses, and developing corrective action plans. Your focus will be on maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with internal Quality Management System policies. You will perform job hazard analyses and risk assessments for both routine and non-routine tasks, working closely with teams to mitigate risks effectively.
