Who you are

You have a strong background in environmental health and safety, with a focus on compliance with regulations established by OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other regulatory agencies. Your experience includes conducting job hazard assessments and implementing health and safety policies effectively. You are skilled in overseeing industrial hygiene programs and developing exposure monitoring plans to ensure a safe working environment.

You possess the ability to evaluate and implement machine guarding for complex automated equipment, ensuring that safety measures are in place to protect personnel. Your expertise extends to inspecting facilities and machinery to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. You are also adept at designing and delivering chemical-specific awareness training to educate employees on safety practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines established by OSHA and other agencies. You will collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include overseeing industrial hygiene programs and communicating these to relevant personnel, as well as developing and executing exposure monitoring plans.

You will implement controls to mitigate chemical and dust exposure hazards and evaluate machine guarding for automated equipment. Regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment will be part of your duties to identify and correct potential hazards. You will also conduct safety observations from regular hazard identification audits and investigate industrial accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.

Additionally, you will assist with compliance for all applicable environmental regulations established by the EPA and other regulatory agencies, developing and maintaining emergency response protocols to ensure preparedness in case of incidents.
