Who you are

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and you bring experience as a Support Engineer, particularly with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) or in the telecommunications or SaaS sectors. Your technical savviness is complemented by superior customer relationship skills, and you have a passion for learning and problem-solving. You thrive in environments where you can investigate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, especially related to Messaging APIs.

You possess a natural curiosity and demonstrate the ability to learn rapidly, which allows you to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders. Your experience with Messaging technologies, such as SMS and SMPP, positions you well to support our strategic customer base. You are dedicated to capturing knowledge for customers who prefer solving their own issues without having to contact support.

What you'll do

As a Technical Support Engineer at Vonage, you will be responsible for providing first-class support to our rapidly growing strategic customer base. You will investigate and troubleshoot technical issues related to our Messaging APIs, ensuring that our customers have a seamless experience integrating our solutions. Your role will involve collaborating heavily with Sales and working closely with the rest of the API Group to drive and manage customer-related projects and initiatives.

You will communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure their needs are met and their issues are resolved promptly. You will also capture and document knowledge to enhance our support resources, enabling customers to find solutions independently. Your ability to problem-solve and your technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
