Who you are
You have a strong background in safety policy development and compliance, ideally within the autonomous vehicle or technology sectors. Your experience includes working with regulatory authorities and understanding the complexities of safety regulations. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
You are passionate about promoting safety culture and have a track record of developing strategies that enhance safety practices. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough safety engineering analyses and ensure that safety considerations are integrated throughout the design and development processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support the SMS Lead in the development, periodic review, and implementation of enterprise-level safety policies. You will work closely with the Safety Management team to ensure that safety goals and strategies are effectively communicated and adhered to across the organization. Your responsibilities will include advising on compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as collaborating with internal teams to promote a culture of safety.
You will also engage with external stakeholders, including lawmakers and public organizations, to advocate for safety policies that align with Waymo's mission. Your role will involve continuous improvement of safety practices and contributing to the overall safety strategy of the company.
What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $190,000—$241,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan. You will also benefit from a generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
